One question I do get asked frequently is how I became interested in chiropractic. It happened during my senior year in high school, my mother was an active person, a special education teacher. One day she was barely able to walk, because of arthritis. After about 6 months of various doctors and medications, she ended up in another doctor’s office at the suggestion of a family friend. This doctor was a chiropractor. He examined her spine and found where she was out of alignment. After about two weeks of care and getting adjusted, she was walking incredibly better than she had been in the past 6 months…and the best part…she was taking no medication!! I was still a little skeptical even after seeing these results, until my first adjustment. I was a senior in high school and was becoming less of a morning person than I was in the past …. After that first adjustment, I was back to my “old self” again. Since that day I have not looked back, continuing to get my spine checked regularly.
I attended Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic, in Spartanburg, SC. The part that amazed me the most about my education was learning that our bodies should be able to take care of themselves. After learning the basics, it all just made so much sense.
The goal of Henriksen Chiropractic is to help everyone achieve their health goals. My personal goal is to help you learn how to better care for your body so that you can enjoy your highest quality of health possible.
